My name is Mike, and I own Mike’s Movers! I started this company in March of 2019, and experienced immediate explosive growth due to a large network of supportive friends I had developed through coaching group fitness and bartending at a well known bar in town. I originally did not intend to focus my life on Mike’s Movers and grow the company into anything large, but after performing extremely well and developing a great name and reputation, I decided to drop everything else and focus primarily on growing the company. What really sets us apart from other moving companies is that we simply take the job very seriously, and we put a tremendous amount of effort, planning, and strategizing into how we can perform the job perfectly, without a single small incident, efficiently, and create an environment of professionalism and security for our customers. We understand that moving is stressful enough already, and we take into account every possible measure in order to ensure we are relieving as much of that stress as possible. Our guys are professional, clean cut, good humored individuals who love their job and are amongst the highest paid in the industry. We understand that this job is not just a labor job, it is a very technical one as well. Moving is much more than simply picking things up and setting them back down. There are hundreds of points of knowledge each mover must be knowledgeable of and proficient in. The goal is to provide the highest level of service in the upstate, damage nothing, and leave behind a wake of satisfied customers!

Q: Tell us about yourself, including a little bit about where you grew up, your education, your family, interests, passions, and career?
I was born in Lexington SC, but my dad was military so we moved around a good bit. I don’t feel like I “grew up” anywhere in particular. My formal education is pretty limited! I dropped out of High School in the 10th grade and went to college, then dropped out of college after two years. I don’t consider myself unintelligent at all, I just haven’t done well in formal education settings. I love learning actually and I’m usually engaged in two or three new subjects at a time. My interests and passions tend to vary quite a bit, I am one who goes through “phases” a lot. Currently, I’m very interested in Eastern Philosophy and meditation, as well as mystical and spiritual studies, leaning towards the context of self-development. My career currently is existing as the owner and developer of Mike’s Movers, and I seek to grow the company, nothing else currently.
