My name is Naomi Reed and I am the Assistant City Administrator and Director of Finance with the City of Fountain Inn. I began my career with the City in 2006 as a part-time office assistant while taking online classes to finish my undergraduate degree. I transitioned to full-time and moved to the City Hall accounting department. After being promoted several times, the City’s growth prompted the need for an Assistant City Administrator and I was selected for the role in 2020. I am married to my best friend and together we have four children; Isaiah, twins Joshua and Jaliyah, and Rhian. I was recently recognized as Fountain Inn Black History Maker, selected as a 2021 Change Maker of the Upstate and serve as a mentor for and a special group of young ladies through the Miriam Foundation. The organization supports the development of young women in leadership, academics, health and wellness, and community. I previously served on the Board of Directors for Little Steps which is an organization in Greenville County. Little Steps is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to teen and young parents; a cause near to my heart as I was a teen mother. In my free time, I like to take day trips, read, and assist my sister with her business, The Employee Handbook,
