My name is Maggie Dunlap. I am a current junior at Woodmont High School. I am a competitive swimmer for Team Greenville and for my neighborhood. I have lived in the area my entire life with my parents, older sister, and dog, Daisy.
Q: Tell us about yourself, including a little bit about where you grew up, your education, your family, interests, passions, and career?
I have grown up in the same neighborhood and the same house in the area for my entire life. I have been in public school for all of my education. Recently, I have become a student ambassador for a local non-profit organization called Let There Be Mom. LTBM works with families in the upstate area that have a parent with a life-threatening disease. They work with the families to help create permanent memories of the parent after they have passed. As a student ambassador, I help with local events and spreading the word about the organization.

I have lived in the Golden Strip my entire life.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Something interesting that most people do not know about me is that I want to be a radiologist after my education.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in The Golden Strip?
The most interesting person that I have met in the Golden Strip is my sister, Riley. I know that I have known her my whole life, but she is my best friend and is always keeping me laughing. She has inspired me with her passion and drive to become a teacher.
Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about The Golden Strip?
The local business that makes me feel the most nostalgic about the Golden Strip is El Tejano or Rosie’s as most people call it. Rosie’s always has a warm and fun atmosphere that reminds me of family and friend outings we have always had there.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about The Golden Strip?
My favorite thing about the Golden Strip is that it is such a tight-knit and loving community. Everyone here is always there for each other, which has always been the best!
Q: With so much growth in our area, there are always new places popping up. Tell us about the a “new to you” place that you recently tried.
A new to me place in the area that I have recently discovered is Crumbl Cookies. I have found that Crumbl’s flavors are just so out there and amazing! I love to try the new ones every week!

Love, tight-knit, family.
Q: If you had friends or family visiting you from out of town, what is the one place that you must take them to?
If any family was visiting from out of town the one place I always take them to is the Ice Cream Station! The Ice cream Station has always been one of my favorites, so I love to share it with everyone!
Q: If you had a free day with no plans, what would you do? Or where can we find you on the weekends?
On the weekends you can usually find me at Target on Fairview or at the mall. I love to shop, so I spend as much time as I can out and shopping!
Q: If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose?
If I was the star in a major motion picture I would want my co-star to be Taylor Swift because it’s Taylor Swift.
