Meet Doctor Kevin Springle!  Kevin is a Pediatrician at Pediatric Associates in Simpsonville. Kevin and his wife Tennille have been married for 19 years. They have a 16 year old son (Donovan) and a 12 year old daughter (Danielle). Kevin is member of Kingdom Life Church on Holland Road in Simpsonville where he is involved with the Praise and Worship Team as a singer.

We want to thank Dr. Kevin for sharing his story and telling us about his compassion for helping children and his love for the Golden Strip Community.

Q: What inspired you or led you to become a Pediatrician?

A: I always had an interest in science and health coupled with a desire to care for others.  I developed a special interest in taking care of children through my community outreach as a teenager and college student.

Q: How long have you been a Pediatrician?

A: 16 years.

Q: What do you enjoy most about what you do? 

A: I enjoy getting to witness children grow into mature and responsible members of society, and partnering with parents in their growth along the way.

Q: Describe the strangest or funniest incident you’ve experienced in your business? 

A: I can’t think of one particular incident, but I will say children constantly say and do things in my practice that make me smile.

Q: What did you do prior to this career? 

A:  I was a student. I went from College at Morehouse… to Medical School…to Residency.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the Golden Strip, and what do you love there? 

A: Honestly I like a good 5 guys burger with Cajun fries.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in the Golden Strip area? 

A: I am originally from the city of Greenville, but have lived in the Golden strip area for 15 years.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why? 

A: Hawaii.  I have been to Maui but would love to explore the many other islands.

Q: What is your favorite movie? 

A: I’m not a huge movie fan, but I do like the Marvel Superhero movies.

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people? 

A: Look around you and make sure you are in a crowd that has similar values and morals as yourself. If not you might want to leave.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: Definitely an Alaskan cruise!

Q: Name a favorite musical artist  you would like to see perform (dead or alive)? 

A: I would have loved to see Michael Jackson perform.

Q: What current / former local business makes you feel the most nostalgic about the Golden Strip area? 

A: Martins Farms area that now houses Publix and other stores.

Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? 

A. Denzel Washington.

Q. Why?

A. He just seems like a cool guy.

Q. Where in the Golden Strip area would you and Denzel have lunch? 

A:  Stella’s Bistro.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about the Golden Strip area? 

A: I enjoy the downtown area around Curtis Street.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years? 

A: Still working in the same place.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

A: I want to learn to play the guitar

Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME? 

A: Refuge, God, Peace

Q: If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose? 

A: Halle Berry.

Q: If you had a full time staff member that was fully paid for, who would you choose? Chef, Housekeeper, Driver, Coach, Physical Fitness Trainer, or Nanny? 

A: I would choose a physical fitness trainer.

Q: Do you have a charity or organization that you are passionate about? 

A: I am passionate about sickle cell awareness.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time? 

A: Relax, read, and play video games.

Q: Who else would you like to see nominated as a Face of the Golden Strip? 

A: The Owner of Howard’s Pharmacy.
