Let us introduce you to Jerreau Latson! In his own words…
I grew up in the low country, Nesmith, SC. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. Fun fact, all of our names begin with the letter J. I am an avid car lover and auto performance enthusiast, who loves motor sports and enjoying the smell of race fuel and metal roaring. I grew up on a farm and I love animals because of that.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am married to my wonderful wife with 3 boys, yes I am a Boy dad. Their ages are 4, 15 & 19. My oldest is pursuing a degree in Nursing attending Greenville Tech. My wife is an Assistant Principal at a prominent high school in Greenville County.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I began my career at Verizon back in 2005, when I was 20 years old after graduating from ITT Tech with my degree in Electronic Engineering. Prior to that my first job in the Upstate was at Triangle Rent a Car, I started there at the age of 18.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love eating lunch at Zaxbys, Chillis, Tequilas Mexican food and I cheat out to Copper River or Red Lobster from time to time.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve lived in this community for about 7 years and worked here for 19 years.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
One of the most interesting person has to be Mr. Ross he was hilarious and a character. He passed away during Covid but he lives on in our memories.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I’d go to Japan 100%. I love anime shows and I’ve always wanted to visit Tokyo to visit the Anime studios and dress as a Samurai.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Greenville can’t guarantee success, but I believe it can guarantee a great chance at success.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Full Samurai experience and visit the mother land, Africa.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I’d love to eat with Noelle Randall, she is the queen of real-estate investing which I’m working on myself. I’d take her to lunch at Joy of Tokyo.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that you can live on 5 acres of land and be 6 minutes from everything.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I absolutely see myself owning multiple multi-family units and providing housing for the community.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I love Anime and I use to horseback ride.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Aruba was absolutely stunning.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My children and Wife.
Q: Describe what “neighbor” means to you?
It’s simply means family.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
“I love life” comes to mind when I think of home.
