Q: Tell us about yourself, including a little bit about where you grew up, your education, your family, interests, passions, and career?
My name is Roy J Nevins, 3rd, I was born and raised on Long Island, NY in a large family being the oldest of four additional siblings. I went to Longwood High School and joined the United States Air Force soon after. I served 6 years and did one tour in Afghanistan to support combat search and rescue missions. After leaving the military I returned home for a few years before moving here to Greenville, SC. My passion is life, in general, every waking moment is a passionate day to climb higher and do better and that drives me to take my business to the next level and pursue greatness.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in The Golden Strip?
6 years but soon to round 7.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m a pretty big history buff and tend to get hooked in the History Channel or researching historical wars.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in The Golden Strip?
Celeste.
Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about The Golden Strip?
That’s a tough one to answer due to the area itself just giving that overall nostalgic feeling it’s what really brought me here in the first place.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about The Golden Strip?
The collectiveness of small businesses.
Q: With so much growth in our area, there are always new places popping up. Tell us about the a “new to you” place that you recently tried.
I honestly haven’t tried anything new recently however I’m on the look out.
Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME or NEIGHBOR?
Peace, connectivity, happiness.
Q: If you had friends or family visiting you from out of town, what is the one place that you must take them to?
Harry’s Hoagies.
Q: If you had a free day with no plans, what would you do? Or where can we find you on the weekends?
Mini weekend vacations in the mountains or seeing family.

Tour Italy.
